Back in 2001, my father had the idea of creating a sticker for Brewster, MA, our family's home town since 1978. He thought an alewife (or herring) - the fish that descend upon the Brewster Herring Run each spring - would be a nice choice for the town's icon. I created this illustration nd we had a few hundred stickers printed. My father brought them around to local stores to sell. After he passed away, my mother continued to distribute the stickers. Over the years we've sold thousands, mostly through the Brewster Store. When I'm driving around and see one on a car, it's a nice reminder of this collaboration with my parents.
